How Heart-shaped Life led me to AI
The unexpected story behind the
Bloompreneur Program
If you'd have told me a few years ago that AI would become an important part of my work, I would have laughed and told you that you’ve got the wrong person...
I’m someone who loves nature, gardening, painting, slow living and I'm definitely not in a rush to embrace the latest technology - quite the opposite.
When the internet first arrived at my university, I remember walking past the computer room where people were excitedly exploring this new thing called the World Wide Web. I remember thinking, I'm not really sure what this is or what it could possibly be useful for. It didn't seem particularly interesting.
Years later, the internet became the very thing that made it possible for me to leave my career in nature conservation, build a business as a graphic and web designer, and create a life where I could work from anywhere - in my case, a tiny village surrounded by nature in rural Bulgaria.
I've learned something about myself over the years.
I don't get excited about technology simply because it's new. I become interested when I begin to see how it can help people live, work, or connect in more meaningful ways.
The questions that came before AI
For a long time, I mostly ignored AI, just as many
heart-centred business owners did.
My work has always been about something else.
I was fascinated by questions like:
How do we hear ourselves beneath all the expectations, the noise and the "shoulds"?
What does success actually look like if we define it for ourselves?
How do we build a life that feels right for who we are and how we want to spend our days?
They are questions about purpose, dreams, intention, meaning... Those questions have always fascinated me.
In other words, my work was always about helping people reconnect with themselves.
Long before the Bloompreneur Way, I created something
called Heart-Shaped Life.
It wasn't really a business venture so much as an exploration of those questions. Through journaling, reflection, time in nature and quiet moments away from the constant noise of everyday life, I wanted to help people rediscover what truly mattered to them and support them in sharing their gifts and doing what they love.
Looking back now, I can see those questions as the golden thread running through almost everything I've created over the past decade, and they would eventually lead me to AI.
One question always leads to another...
And there was another pattern too.
This showed up in all kinds of places: research projects at university, websites for clients, courses I created. I rarely stopped at the original brief.
I'd start with one question, and before long I'd be following another.
I'd notice connections. New possibilities would emerge. What I thought would be a relatively straightforward project often became something much richer and more expansive than I thought at the beginning.
I always thought that was how everyone approached ideas, but now I realise it’s just how my mind works.
I’m drawn to the space between things: between science and intuition, strategy and creativity, nature and technology, the practical and the deeply human.
And that’s probably why AI became interesting to me at all.
A book, a film, and a question I couldn’t shake
In the summer of 2024 I read a little novel called Meet Me at the Museum and watched the film Ich bin dein Mensch. (I’m your Human). Both stories, in very different ways, were about reflection, connection, and the unexpected ways we come to understand ourselves better.
In Meet Me at the Museum by Anne Youngson, two strangers begin writing letters to each other. Slowly, through that exchange, parts of their lives that had become dormant begin to surface: old dreams, regrets, questions, longings, the things that daily life can cover over.
And in Ich bin dein Mensch (I'm your Man), a woman is has to live with a humanoid robot designed to be her perfect companion. It’s funny, unsettling, tender, and thought-provoking all at once. The robot isn’t human, but his presence and their conversations begin to reflect things back to her that she’s been avoiding. ( I loved this movie, find out how you can watch it with English subtitles here).
What started me thinking in both stories was the mirror.
The idea that a conversation, a letter, a question, or even something like an AI robot can help us see ourselves more clearly.
Connecting the dots
Around that time, I started experimenting with AI in small, practical ways.
A translation here. A letter there. The kind of things many people tried when AI first became part of everyday conversation.
But then I began testing it with something closer to my own work: for years, I had helped heart-centred solopreneurs see the deeper possibilities in their business.
A client might come to me for a website, but very often the real work went much further than design. We would end up exploring their message, their offers, their ideal clients, their buyer’s journey, their lead magnet ideas, their content, their whole way of expressing what they did.
I could often see the connections and spot the opportunities.
I could see how one idea could become a lead magnet, how an insight could become a series of emails, how a tweak could create a much stronger offer or a shift in positioning a more promising niche.
But seeing the possibility and bringing it fully to life are not the same thing...
Many heart-centred solopreneurs are already carrying a lot.
Especially my kind of clients need to be in a good space to do their best work with their clients. You can’t hold space for someone when you are stressed and overstretched.
Outsourcing the creative work to someone else can be wonderful, but it is financially out of reach for many solopreneurs. I also created DIY courses to help with this work, but doing everything yourself can feel like yet another mountain to climb and in practice it means it often doesn’t happen at all, it’s just too much.
That was the first I really started to think about AI – could it help bring all those good ideas to life?
Could it help turn a strong concept into an email sequence?
Could it help shape a lead magnet from a promising idea?
Could it help translate a thoughtful strategy into actual words, pages, emails and content?
At first, I saw the potential quite practically. AI could be an implementation engine.
But the more I experimented, the more I noticed something important.
AI was only really useful when the messaging underneath was clear.
If the message is vague, the result is vague.
If the offer is unclear, the copy sounds generic.
If the deeper purpose, audience, emotional journey and point of view are missing, AI can still produce words - but they aren’t the kind of words that resonate and make people lean in.
That was when the bigger question appeared.
Can AI help with the thinking before the writing?
Can it help people clarify their message, explore their ideas, spot the patterns, connect the dots and find the golden threads running through their work?
Can it support the reflective process that usually happens in a good 1:1 conversation - the kind of conversation where someone helps you see yourself more clearly?
Not shortcut or content machine, but as a possible bridge between inner clarity and outer expression?
The project that wouldn’t stay small
At first, I thought I was creating something fairly simple.
Maybe one assistant - a small process to help people turn their ideas into clearer copy and content. I thought it would take about a month. It took nine.
I wasn’t trying to make it bigger and bigger, but every step revealed another piece of the puzzle.
↓
If AI could help with writing, then it needed to understand the message behind the writing.
↓
If it was going to help with messaging, then it needed to understand the person, the audience, the offer and the deeper purpose behind the business.
↓
If it was going to help someone create content, then it needed to help them find the key ideas they could return to again and again.
↓
If it was going to support heart-centred solopreneurs, then it couldn’t just help them produce a heap of generic content.
It needed to help them slow down, reflect, clarify and express their messaging - so the content they did create would feel more resonant, more useful, and more connected to the people they were here to help.
So the project kept growing, but not in a “more features, more modules, more bonuses” kind of way, more like roots spreading underground.
One question led to another. One assistant became several. One workbook became a whole process. What started as an idea for practical support became a deeper system for helping people uncover, articulate and share the heart of their business.
That was how The Bloompreneur Program began to take shape.
The tools changed. The questions and the purpose didn’t.
The Bloompreneur Program didn’t begin when I started experimenting with AI, it began much earlier.
It started with Heart-Shaped Life and the questions I kept coming back to about purpose, meaning, freedom and what it means to create a life on your own terms.
It continued through my work as a web designer, where I wasn’t only helping people create beautiful websites, but helping them express the deeper value of their work in words, structure, images and strategy.
It was there in my love of nature and reflection, in my scientific background, in my habit of following questions where they want to go, and in the space I created in my own life so I could think deeply enough and experiment with something to see what wanted to emerge.
AI brought those threads together in a way I never expected.
It gave me a new way to support the work I’ve been passionate about for years: helping people hear themselves more clearly, uncover the deeper pattern in their work, and turn what they know, feel and sense into messaging and content they can actually use for their business.
And the deeper layer: I wanted to give airplane-mode-loving solopreneurs tools and systems that made their marketing easier, more meaningful and more effective - so they could do more of the work they love without sacrificing themselves in the process.
For me, AI is not a shortcut. It’s the opposite; a reflective tool and a thinking partner that helps you go deeper, a bridge between inner clarity and outer expression.
My work has never really been about technology.
It has always been about helping people reconnect with their heart: what is true, meaningful and alive in them - and helping them bring that out into the world, so they can create a more fulfilling life and, in turn, help their clients grow, heal and thrive.

Hi there,
I'm Helena!
Hi there, I'm Helena!
For more than 15 years, I’ve supported heart-centred solopreneurs like you - helping them create beautiful, marketing-savvy websites and build businesses that feel aligned, grounded, and true.
My dream was to live a life close to nature, in a small village with a big garden, surrounded by like-minded people. So I quit my job as an ecologist and moved to wild and pristine Eastern Europe to create a life and business that suits me and my soul.
I know the struggles that come with following your heart and trying to make a living doing what you love, because I’ve lived them too. They say: "Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life" - but then there is the marketing 😔... The pressure to be visible all the time. Creating all that content. The way social media pulls you in - then leaves you feeling drained and unseen.
When AI came on the scene, I saw a unique opportunity - not for shortcuts or soulless content, but for real support for the things heart-centred solopreneurs struggle with most: getting their messaging spot on so their marketing becomes efficient and effective, and support for all that content creation.
It resulted in The Bloompreneur Program; a step-by-step system that helps you get clear on what you stand for and speak to the people you’re here to help, and helps you create emotionally resonant and marketing-savvy content, all based on ethical, gentle, connection based marketing (→ no FOMO, hype or fear tactics here - only feel-good marketing! ).
Your work matters! 💖
